Standard Occupational Classification (SOC): Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Workers, All Other

Healthcare practitioners and technical workers, all other, are professionals who work in healthcare-related occupations that do not fit into specific categories such as doctors, nurses, and medical technologists. These professionals may include chiropractors, optometrists, and other types of practitioners who are licensed to diagnose and treat patients, as well as technicians and technologists who support the work of healthcare practitioners. They may work in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and private practices. Healthcare practitioners and technical workers, all other, may be responsible for examining and evaluating patients, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans. They may also be responsible for providing support and assistance to other healthcare professionals and for maintaining and repairing medical equipment.
