The Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA) maintains the California Regional Health Care Cost & Quality Atlas, a unique all-payer claims database that measures the total cost of care of 30 million Californians. The Atlas compares value-based coverage models against purely fee-for-service plans and networks. Jeffrey Rideout, MD, CEO of the IHA, will report on the 2019 findings, as well as the potential for the application of the total cost of care measurement system to newly-developing equity measurement.

Audiologists are seeking new ways to reach out to their patients for routine check-ups, follow-up care, and other unanticipated emergencies. Adopting tele-audiology as a solution to existing social alienation is a viable option. Tele-audiology is not a new concept. Many organizations and practices in developing nations have used it to assist underserved and unserved communities, as well as to address the dearth of audiologists.

The goal of this event is to look at how tele-audiology can help with clinical difficulties related to social distancing. Audiologists will discuss how teleaudiology services are helping to pave the way for "the new normal."
