Standard Occupational Classification (SOC): Physicians, All Other

““Physicians, all other”” in healthcare refer to medical doctors who do not fit into a specific medical specialty, such as a general practitioner or a family physician. They may provide general medical care, diagnose and treat illnesses, and refer patients to specialists when necessary. Their job responsibilities are similar to those of other physicians, including taking medical histories, performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, making diagnoses, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and performing procedures. These physicians must have a medical degree, complete a residency program, and be licensed to practice medicine.
