Medigy: Preventive Therapy

Preventive therapy is a type of treatment that prevents the progression of a latent disease into a clinical condition. This type of therapy prevents the occurrence of initial infection and also any past medical condition. The isoniazid preventive therapy or chemoprophylaxis in tuberculosis reduces the risk of the first episode of TB in people exposed to the tuberculosis infection. It also stops the progression of the latent infection into active tuberculosis infection.
