In addition to HIPAA, there are many other laws and regulations that protect the privacy and security of healthcare information, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in European Union.

It is important for healthcare organizations to be aware of and comply with all relevant laws and regulations, as well as to implement best practices for protecting patient privacy.
