KLAS: Data Archiving

Data Archiving is the process of preserving the older data of patients by moving it to a separate storage device where it can be retained for longer time. Data archives are stored because they are not required on regular basis and are also indexed so that we can easily search them when needed. Archives reduce the primary storage and are less expensive because it is typically based on a low-performance, high-capacity storage medium.
