Healthcare data can deliver valuable insights, such as understanding a patient’s journey along a continuum of care, for healthcare systems, hospitals, and other types of healthcare providers. These insights drive industry innovation in many ways, helping forecast patient needs, optimize resource allocation, and improve strategic planning. However, the heavy lifting work needed to transform the data into insights requires technical and subject matter expertise. Without this work, data analysis may produce skewed insights that can contribute billions to the estimated $450 billion the healthcare industry loses each year to fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA).
