How to Prevent A Healthcare Staffing Crisis
Many industries were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, but the healthcare sector was arguably the most severely and immediately affected. The healthcare sector is on life support, particularly in terms of staffing, due to incredible, ongoing demand combined with regional differences, political complexities, and cultural barriers. Numerous healthcare personnel are resigning due to burnout. Many have departed the industry as a result of the two and a half years of unrelenting patient need, a deficient staff, severe disease, and interpersonal dysfunction. Although the number of positions in the healthcare industry has roughly reached pre-pandemic levels, experts expect that the overall nurse deficit will exceed 1.1 million by the end of the year, deeming it a "national emergency". Those who remain are frequently roving nurses and other healthcare professionals who move from hospital to hospital as necessary.
