New Evidence-Based Recommendations for Patients With Diabetes Mellitus

In its updated guideline for the treatment and management of patients with or at risk for diabetes mellitus, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE) discusses themes such as the COVID-19 immunisation, the use of nutritional supplements, telehealth, and both male and female infertility (DM). According to Susan L. Samson, MD, PhD, FRCPC, FACE and colleagues, authors of the guidelines, the guideline, which was last updated in 2014, has 170 evidence-based clinical practise recommendations for DM at every stage, including prevention, diagnosis, and therapy.
