A Digital Toolkit for Improving Patient Experience, Engagement, and Outcomes
Changing perceptions around safety, patient care and virtual care have created a new landscape where patient and provider-focused care is more tech-powered than ever before. As barriers to adopting telehealth visits have fallen, patients and providers are knocking down barriers in unprecedented ways. From virtual visits both at home and while in the hospitals, utilizing devices and remote connections to combat isolation and burnout, a new toolkit is needed to provide the digital connectivity that is replacing physical proximity.
How can we ensure that patients feel more, rather than less, engaged in remote care relationships? How can providers best match digital interventions with the right patients, based on technological sophistication, comfort level, and care needs, to provide precision care that delights? Flexible, adaptable digital tools that are user-friendly for patients and families and provide secure, convenient access to their data are key.
