Standard Occupational Classification (SOC): Infantry Officers

Infantry officers are military leaders who are responsible for leading infantry soldiers in ground operations and close combat. In most military organizations, infantry officers are trained to develop and execute tactics, plan and coordinate operations, and lead soldiers in the field. In general, infantry officers do not have a specific role in the healthcare industry. However, military medical personnel, such as doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, may work with infantry officers to provide medical care in the field. In these cases, the medical personnel may be responsible for providing first aid, treating injuries, and evacuating wounded soldiers to more advanced medical facilities. Military medical personnel may also work in hospitals and other healthcare settings, providing medical care to soldiers and their families. Infantry officers may also be involved in planning and coordinating healthcare operations in military settings, such as establishing field hospitals or coordinating the evacuation of wounded soldiers.
