Construction managers in healthcare are responsible for overseeing the construction, renovation, or expansion of healthcare facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes, and clinics. They plan, direct and coordinate all aspects of a construction project from start to finish, which includes budgeting, scheduling, and overseeing the work of contractors, subcontractors, and other construction professionals.

Their job duties may include developing project plans, budgets, and schedules, coordinating with architects, engineers and other design professionals, overseeing the procurement of materials and equipment, monitoring progress and quality control, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. They also ensure that safety measures are implemented and adhere to local, state and federal regulations. They typically have a background in construction management, engineering, or a related field and may be required to hold relevant certifications or licenses.
