In order to become an archivist in healthcare, individuals typically need to have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as archival science or library science, and may also need to have experience working with healthcare records or documents. Some archivists in healthcare also have advanced degrees, such as a master’s degree in archival science or a related field.
