Medigy: Intubation

Intubation or endotracheal intubation is a standard medical procedure in which a plastic tube (artificial airway) is inserted into a patient’s airways (trachea) either through the mouth or nose to treat breathing issues. The main purpose of tracheal intubation is: • Removal of blockages. • Opening up the airways to give medicine, anesthesia, or oxygen to the patients. • Helping patients in breathing, especially the ones who have heart failure, collapsed lungs, or trauma.
