Hospitals generally have a separate department for clinical and anatomic pathology involving include pathologists, medical technicians, medical technologists, phlebotomists and administrative staff. Anatomic & clinical pathologist should focus on precision medicine to prevent diagnostic errors, and play primary roles in diagnostic management teams. Pathologists should shift from fee-for-service to value-based payment to bring a greater value to patient care.
