McKinsey & Company: Commercial Group Insurance

Commercial insurance in healthcare or commercial health insurance refers to any health benefit obtained from an employer-sponsored or privately purchased company and not from Medicare or Wisconsin Medicaid and BadgerCare Plus. Commercial group insurance or commercial group health insurance is insurance sponsored by a private organization for a group of people. The government does not administer commercial health plans. Therefore you have to purchase the health insurance policy directly from a federal marketplace or an insurance broker.
