It was launched by a data and information management company EY, which is a fully connected data infrastructure. According to EY, the digital ecosphere performs the following functions: • Biometric chain of identity and custody, for identification of blood samples and biopsy tissues of patients. • Supply chain which helps in different purposes such as enrollment, scheduling, capacity planning, coordination of logistics and delivery, etc • Patient engagement which keeps patients engaged by sharing appropriate information with them and also providing them information about disease management • Health outcomes to allow healthcare professionals and other systems to adopt different methods for improving patient care and clinical benefits • Funds allotment for managing the complexities of paying involved in the treatment of a patient.
