Health Information Management (HIM) is the crossroads of clinical information and financial reporting. The department strives to maintain documentation completion and timely coded episodes of care for inpatients and outpatients with high quality. At times, the efforts to quickly get cases coded results in coding errors, incomplete documentation, and opportunities to increase reimbursement.

RCS can assess all aspects of your departmental operations to identify ways to improve chart completion, release of information, electronic heart record implementation, clinical documentation integrity (CDI), and coding. RCS also can provide on-site or remote coding education and audit services, including detailed coding, MS-DRG/APR-DRG validation, on-going monitoring, and compliance reviews for inpatient and outpatient services.

RCS provides experienced consultants to partner with your HIM management and/or senior management personnel in reviewing operations, determining areas of concerns, establishing objectives, and assisting with change management. RCS will:
