Babylon Looks To Sell UK Business Amid Bankruptcy Fears

This week, the company stated that a $34.5 million attempt to restructure and return to private ownership failed. This follows the May report that shares in Babylon plummeted precipitously on rumors that the company was being taken private as part of a new debt plan. The company's primary remaining NHS offering is Babylon GP at Hand, an online-only GP practice with over 100,000 enrolled NHS patients throughout London. According to the corporation, it is currently "exploring strategic alternatives to find the best outcome for its UK business," which may include the potential of selling the UK business. Senior Babylon employees are certain that its UK operations, including the companies that provide NHS services, won't shut down, according to HSJ.
