Healthcare quality is a journey towards consistently better healthcare, not a set conclusion.1,2 The quality debate over the past two decades has led to a more sophisticated understanding of how healthcare providers may benefit from best practices, exchange knowledge, invest in the required infrastructure, and create an organizational culture that is centered on quality and safety.3-5 Building a solution that fills a demand necessitates clinical competence, operational functionality, and relational skills.3,4,6 While the principles of quality—such as safety, efficacy, and patient experience—remain mostly constant throughout the literature, contextual circumstances have a significant impact on how successfully they are applied.7 Although quality healthcare is now recognized as a necessity rather than a luxury8, it is frequently not prioritized in many settings around the world, especially in extreme situations.
