Just over 50% of the world's population are women, and their healthcare needs are growing exponentially. There seems to be a developing global technology industry for businesses that focus on specific women's health challenges.6 Menarche, fertility, menopause, chronic illnesses, hormonal disorders, sexual health, general health and wellness, pregnancy, and maternal health are just a few of the key areas that the "FemTech" industry, or the category of technology that is broadly defined by technological advancements in diagnostics, products, tools, and services to support women's health, has helped manage. Ida Tin, the creator of the menstrual monitoring software Clue, is credited with coining the term "Femtech".7 FemTech can be broadly divided into three categories.
