Through telemedicine and remote patient monitoring alternatives, people in these rural places can still have easy access to high-quality healthcare in a cost-effective manner.
Telemedicine in these regions enables healthcare professionals to pinpoint specific social determinants of health, such as limited access to food, and gives chronic patients, for instance, access to medical specialists without having to travel a great distance.
