ChatGPT Has Potential to Help Cirrhosis, Liver Cancer Patients, Cedars Sinai Study Reveals

Cedars-Sinai investigators describe how ChatGPT, an AI chatbot, may help improve health outcomes for patients with cirrhosis and liver cancer. According to a recent study by Cedars-Sinai researchers, ChatGPT, an AI chatbot, may assist patients with cirrhosis and liver cancer have better health outcomes by giving them simple-to-understand information about fundamental knowledge, lifestyle choices, and treatments for these diseases. The research results demonstrate the AI system's potential to be useful in clinical practise and were published in the peer-reviewed journal Clinical and Molecular Hepatology. According to Brennan Spiegel, MD, MSHS, director of Health Services Research at Cedars-Sinai and co-corresponding author of the study, "Patients with cirrhosis and/or liver cancer and their carers frequently have unmet needs and insufficient knowledge about managing and preventing complications of their disease." While ChatGPT has its limits, we discovered that it can empower patients and raise health literacy levels among various demographics.
