According to a Pew Research Center survey, 60% of participants stated they would feel uneasy if their healthcare professional used AI to diagnose and treat them. According to the 2022 study, which received responses from over 11,000 U.S. citizens, 66% of women and 54% of men stated they would feel uncomfortable if their healthcare professional used AI. Yet, 38% of those surveyed believed that using AI to diagnose and treat patients would generally result in better patient health outcomes, while 33% believed the opposite. 27 percent of people claimed that it wouldn't really matter. 51% of those polled who thought there was an issue with racial and ethnic bias in healthcare believed that these circumstances.
