It is difficult to provide care management services, such as principle care management (PCM) and chronic care management (CCM). Insufficient patient participation in care management with a primary care physician is the first major issue. In reality, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, more Americans lack a reliable source of healthcare, most frequently primary care, according to a new analysis from the Primary Care Collaborative and the Robert Graham Center of the American Academy of Family Physicians. According to Tom Ferry, president and chief executive officer of Engooden Health, a provider of CCM services, "the number of people with chronic disease — and particularly more than one is expanding fast." "Also increasing is the number of Medicare beneficiaries. 66% of Medicare recipients and one in four American adults currently have multiple conditions.
