The emergence of a new sort of medical information was a result of the widespread adoption of wearable digital technology in healthcare that produced big data. The definition of digital biomarkers and their potential applications are summarised below. Fitbit, Jawbone, Apple Health, Withings, Garmin, Sleep as Android, WIWE, MocaCare, and Skeeper or fitness trackers, step counters, health applications, sleep sensors, pocket ECGs, blood pressure monitors, and other gadgets tracking health parameters—appeared out of nowhere in the last few of years. They are now producing an incredible amount of data about patients and those who aren't receiving medical care. Digital biomarkers are exactly that.
