ONC: Nearly half of smartphone owners use apps to monitor health
Researchers from the ONC evaluated data from HHS’ Health Information National Trends Survey and found that last year, 49% of tablet or smartphone owners used a health and wellness app to manage their health. Seventy-five percent of respondents used a health and wellness app to track their progress on a health goal, while 48% used it for making a decision on treatment for a condition or illness, 45% for discussing their health with a health care provider and 28% for sharing information with a health professional.
