This conference is a celebration of success. We want to stimulate innovation and share best practice. This is the first patient safety conference since the Covid-19 pandemic and the publication of the NHS Patient Safety Strategy published in July 2019. The aim of the conference is to celebrate success, stimulate innovation and share best practice in patient safety.

We have several internationally renowned speakers who will be presenting at the event including:

  • Sir Liam Donaldson who is recognised as an international champion of public health and patient safety and was the 15th Chief Medical Officer for England.
  • Graham Kirkpatrick, Head of Patient Safety (Advice & Guidance) NHS England who will be talking about the patient safety incident journey – from reporting to alerting.
  • Jan Sunman, Rosi Reed, Frank Mullane from Making Families Count who will be talking about involving families well using the new PSIRF guidance: A why, how and what guide to Positive family engagement on system and patient safety.
