Partially as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, patients have demonstrated increasing interest in addressing health care issues from their homes, through telehealth visits with their doctors, or home-based screening, testing, or monitoring devices. Continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) help patients self-manage their diabetes from home. This presentation will address a professional practice gap in knowledge about the broader use of CGMs in primary care patients with type 2 diabetes, addressing patient preference for home-based self-management technology, as well as a broader application of CGMs, i.e., prior to insulin therapy initiation.
