Since the publication of the NHS Patient Safety Strategy in July 2019, there have been several changes to the patient safety landscape; the strategy has expanded to include the Incident Response Framework, Primary Care Networks and Managing Deterioration Safety Improvement programme, among others. While a lot of progress has been made in patient safety, recent surveys and publications indicate that there is still plenty of room for improvement. For example, the Government’s Call for Evidence in 2021 for the Women’s Health Strategy concluded that women’s voices are not being heard within the healthcare system, leading to poorer outcomes and avoidable errors. By engaging with best practice strategies in improving patient safety and reducing medical error, health professionals can continue to improve outcomes for all patients in the NHS.
Join us at the Patient Safety 2022 Conference: Driving Improvements Across the NHS to Reduce Medical Error to hear the latest patient safety policy and updates from policymakers and experts. Engage with a range of best practice case studies to learn about leading strategies and clinical practices to embed a culture of patient safety across your organization, engage with patients, and creating new care pathways. You will also have the opportunity to network with senior colleagues from across the NHS sharing experiences and improve outcomes for patients in your community.
