Medicare and commercial health insurance providers have begun to recognize how advances in communication technologies are changing the ways patients and providers interact. The quantity and quality of digital medical device data are becoming integral parts of health care delivery across all continuums of care. Presenter Robert Jarrin will explain policy decisions by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to advance patient care via remote monitoring along with the differences between remote physiologic and remote therapeutic monitoring, along with coding, coverage, and payment. Attendees will learn about the basics of remote monitoring services as defined by CMS.
