The COVID crisis has emphasized our need for technology to live better, healthier, longer lives. Overcrowded hospitals, cancellations of elective surgeries, and the clear danger associated with face-to-face appointments have brough at-home and continuous health monitoring and treatment to the forefront.
While we all wish that it was not a deadly pandemic that pushed us ahead, many have taken the opportunity to innovate, regulators have given many emergency use approval, and user hesitancy has decreased dramatically.
New problems, including Long COVID, have emerged. ApplySci will bring a (limited) group of interdisciplinary thinkers together this April to try to solve them. Join us at the Samberg Center and Terraces at MIT on April 8, where researchers, investors, regulators, payors, pharma, biotech, device companies, health systems and startups will discuss deep tech for body and brain health.
