Nationwide, the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) sector is grappling with a sea change to stop discrimination and harassment. This session will provide an update on the latest studies and stories about diversity, discrimination, and harassment in the U.S. STEM workforce. We will then explain the NSF, NIH, and NASA requirements incorporated into the terms of research grants. Touchstones in our presentation will include confirmation of the key differences in the policies and open discussion on their implementation.
We will discuss how requirements in research grants related to discrimination can be incorporated in different ways into your compliance training, in order to consider specific scenarios relevant to your researchers. We will share examples of case-based training scenario offerings, such as the top ten scenarios in which researchers might face administrative action.
