This annual 2 ½ day course held every May or early June in Chicago prepares IR fellows for private practice or academia with training that may not have been covered extensively during the fellowship year.It is also an excellent opportunity to network with practicing interventional radiologists from both academic & private practice settings and device representatives from numerous industry partners.This course is designed for current Vascular and Interventional Radiology fellows.
Objectives
Discuss the broad spectrum of modern IR practice from the medical management of PAD patients to appropriate evaluation and treatment of Interventional Oncology patients.
Explain how to set up and maintain an IR clinic and manage competition
Discuss latest data with regards to endovascular management of pulmonary embolus, chronic and acute DVT, and limb salvage
