The Organizing Committee of The Second Non-communicable Diseases (NCD) Congress in the UAE has the pleasure to invite you to attend this educational event which will take place on 4 – 6 June 2020 at Event Centre, InterContinental, Festival City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.The congress is under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance of the United Arab Emirates and is supported by different institutions and organizations including Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, Emirates Medical Association, American Heart Association, Emirates Cardiac Society, Emirates Diabetes Society, Emirates Allergy and Respiratory Society and Regional NCD Alliance.According to World Health Organization (WHO) 2018 report, NCDs (non-communicable diseases), also known as chronic diseases, which include cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, and chronic respiratory disease, cause 71% of all deaths globally. These conditions share common risk factors including tobacco use, physical inactivity, alcohol consumption and unhealthy diets and also share common solutions, which provide a mutual platform for collaboration and joint advocacy.
