Leveraging technology, Sentara’s IT team migrated most data to Microsoft Azure and integrated patient care and insurance data into an enterprise data platform (EDP) for a 360-degree customer view. This enables personalized service and predictive analytics for early intervention. By adopting the "payvider" model, which combines healthcare and insurance, Sentara supports value-based care to improve outcomes and lower costs. The organization has also streamlined processes, such as automating prior-authorization, to speed care delivery. Sentara’s EDP integrates CRM software, providing call center staff with a complete patient view to enhance customer experience and service efficiency.
