HHS, ONC Designate Additional QHINs for TEFCA Health Data Exchange

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), under the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), has appointed CommonWell Health Alliance and Kno2 as Qualified Health Information Networks (QHINs) for health data exchange under the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA). This designation allows these organizations to immediately facilitate health data exchange. CommonWell Health Alliance and Kno2 join other QHINs in supporting TEFCA, promoting interoperability and secure data exchange across the healthcare ecosystem. This move signifies a step forward in advancing nationwide health data exchange and improving access to patient information among healthcare providers and organizations.
