Home Health LUPA Trends at a Glance
The National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) released survey results indicating that more than 67% of all home health agencies have seen their LUPA rates at least double as a result of COVID-19. Managing utilization across subsequent payment periods is more critical than ever. 81.12% of subsequent period LUPAs were one visit away from meeting the LUPA visit threshold. Quality outweighs quantity when driving outcomes.
