“Investing in Community Health: A Toolkit for Hospitals,” underscores the importance of community investment, also known as place-based investment, as communities begin to recover from COVID-19.
The resource defines community investments as seeking to improve social, economic, and environmental conditions in communities that face social determinants of health, while also producing some economic return for investors.
The toolkit’s six steps outline how healthcare organizations can address health disparities in the long term by creating investment strategies tailored to their community’s specific needs.
