Strategies for Managing Hybrid Cloud Environments in Healthcare
The beauty of a private cloud is that you can make the most efficient use of your hardware and compute resources as well as move them at will.
One of the challenges is that virtualized environments can cause “blinds spots” for many cybersecurity tools that rely on network traffic for a data stream. In a virtualized environment, most of the “network traffic” actually runs within the virtual server as the guests inside communicate with each other.
I always recommend deploying application and network instrumentation into private cloud environments as this opens the door to a lot of business value and eliminates more risk.
The visibility into this traffic allows organizations to realize the original benefits of the virtualized platforms, yet still, allow the ability to see into and triage the application performance.
